Meet Rebecca

Hi-diddly ho, neighborino! Welcome to Scorpio Panda. I’m Rebecca—an artist, activist, alchemist, and your guide to a creative, witchy, and deeply intentional life. This is my little corner of the internet where art, spirituality, community, and everyday magic meet.

I’ve been crafting for as long as I can remember, and I’m always drawn to learning new artistic methods, exploring museums, pulling cards, and finding inspiration in indie music and everyday life. I’m married and raising two human children, one dog, and one bearded dragon, so life around here is equal parts meaningful, creative, and beautifully chaotic.

When I’m not making art or tending to my spiritual practice, you can usually find me by the water, in the sand, or chasing a little quiet in nature. Living in coastal Virginia keeps me deeply connected to the elements, and that sense of place shapes so much of what inspires me. I’m drawn to the beauty in textures, tides, symbols, and small moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Why Pandas?

Before COVID turned the world upside down, I had the most incredible and envy-inducing gig – I was a zoo volunteer! But wait for it – my time at the zoo was pure magic because I got to hang out with the most adorable creatures on the planet: Giant Pandas. Can you imagine? It's no coincidence that my primal zodiac sign is the Panda, and let me spill a secret – those cuddly beings have a special place in my heart. It's like we speak the same language, an unspoken bond of love and understanding that transcends species.

I like to describe myself and my personality as that of a panda-like sweetness, but when it comes to my kids, I channel my inner mama bear fierceness. It's a beautiful balance of tenderness and strength, and it guides me on this wild journey of occult motherhood and witchy exploration. So, you see, even though I'm as adorable as a panda, I'm also a mama bear fiercely protecting and nurturing my cubs, all while embracing the magic that surrounds us every day.

Scorpio Panda is my little corner of the internet where creativity, spirituality, and community meet in a way that feels grounded, approachable, and real. I love sharing what I know, making witchcraft and art feel more accessible, and reminding people that meaning doesn’t have to be expensive or complicated to be powerful. This space is about curiosity, intention, and learning to make something beautiful, useful, or healing with what you already have.

I believe in everyday magic—the kind found in symbolism, storytelling, nature, creative practice, and paying closer attention to the world around you. Whether I’m talking about art, spiritual life, or the beauty and grit of coastal Virginia, I want this space to feel welcoming, thoughtful, and alive. Not polished to death. Not gatekept. Just honest.

More than anything, I want Scorpio Panda to be a place that encourages people to be good villagers: to share what they know, support one another, create with care, and stay open to wonder. If that sounds like your kind of magic, you’re in the right place.

  • My passion for witchcraft and the occult was ignited when I was about 10 years old. Attending a sleepover event with the Girl Scouts at my local zoo, right around Halloween, opened a magical door for me. As we delved into the mysterious world of owl pellets and did grave rubbings at the nearby cemetery, I felt an undeniable thrill for all things spooky and enchanting.

  • Living in the vibrant embrace of the South, I couldn't ignore the prevailing negative stereotypes surrounding witches and the occult. However, this only fueled my determination to create Scorpio Panda and embark on this magical journey with others. My inspiration lies in nurturing a haven of creativity and understanding, especially for my children, where they can grow up respecting diverse beliefs and celebrating the beauty of witchcraft. By sharing our adventures and enchanting discoveries, I hope to inspire fellow parents to embrace the magic within and spread love, acceptance, and a touch of whimsy wherever they go.

  • Being a Scorpio is a mesmerizing journey of fascination for me! My favorite aspect has to be the profound connection to the cycle of death and rebirth, a staple concept of Scorpios. From an early age, I found myself drawn to skeletons, the mystical allure of Fall, and the enchantment of Halloween. Little did I know then that these innate interests would shape my magical practices as I grew older. The belief in reincarnation, even before I knew the term for it, further solidified my connection to the mysteries of life and beyond. Embracing the love of the macabre, as typical of Scorpios, I find my magical path intertwined with the cycles of nature and the wonders of transformation.
