Hidden in Plain Sight

Hidden in Plain Sight is a series of works that use the maritime signal flag alphabet to encode messages within familiar coastal imagery. Created from a place where naval presence is constant, these pieces explore what it means to communicate in environments where being direct can carry consequences. Each composition holds a second layer beneath the surface, messages that are fully visible, yet often overlooked, inviting the viewer to slow down, decode, and consider what is being said, and why it needed to be said this way.
